There are WAY more ways to party, but here are the 5 basic ones:
• Home: An “in person” home party. People also use this option for hosting Facebook parties. This
is the standard party type. With this party, you have an actual party “Host.” Traditionally a host
at a home party. Most commonly used party type.
• Basket: An on the go party (bag, pouch, basket party). Not an in-home experience, where the host
is doing most of the work for you. Customers work with your host, not you.
• Fair & Shows: Any event in which you sign up (or pay a fee) to sell your product. When preparing
for your show, you will want to choose this option in case you need expedited shipping. For
accounting purposes, you’ll also want to select this option to track these for tax
purposes at the end of the year.
• Fundraiser: Used for any event in which you provide some or all your commissions to the
cause of your choice. Again, you will want to choose this option to track these for tax
purposes at the end of the year
• Individual: This option is for any of your customers that just want to order a few items but don’t
meet the $200.00 US or $240.00 Canadian party qualification.
PRO-TIP: Keep a party open on your PWS all month long. This allows anyone shopping on your site to add their order to that link should they choose, and you will collect the hostess rewards.
A home party would be an event either held in a home or another location with a hostess who is on a mission to earn rewards. Don’t let the term ‘home party’ make you think about boring presentations & fear. Instead, think of the possibilities! Open Houses Sip & Smells, Themed parties like a Luau or Bingo! The options are endless. You can find some great ideas and inspiration on Pinterest, the Training Center & You Tube. You don’t even need a ton of product to set up at the home party. Truly everything you need comes in your starter kit. Remember that the easier your set up, the more enticing the opportunity to something thinking of joining your team. You want to make sure that what you do looks like something anyone can do. When you book a home party, coaching the hostess is key! Below you will find a thorough walk through  of how to do an online BINGO party, a link to images to use and links to in person trainings.

This SUPER long, but I tried to take it step by step to explain♥️ Here is an outline of BINGO and images and content to use. They are in order of ways you engage♥️ the only thing I didn’t include was the verbiage to send to each person the day of the party because it was too long, you will find the content below.

•Book a party or host it-if you’re not sure where to start, host your own bingo party♥️ •Start your party on your workstation so people can order from your link. You want all orders to qualify for rewards. •Create am event on facebook. You will either go LIVE in the event ornuse something like zoom in the event. Warning- when going live in the event, too much commenting may put them in Facebook jail for the party. Next BINGO I am going to try to use a zoom or something like it. Maybe the house party app, it’s super fun! •Start your event 3-4 days early to get connection and conversation started. The event will be a specific day and time that you will go live. •Post 2-3 times a day in the group. Each comment made by guests will get a play for bingo. I would post 2 fun images, just to get them interacting, and 1 scentsy. Remember, share things you love, not just random images. •You can use the images below, or google. I mean there are a billion images out there. Or get creative and make your own in apps like WordSwag, Over, Photofy, ETC. •The day of message all of your guests and remind them of your event that night! There is verbiage below for this message. •Make a list of all guests and total their points. Take a pic and post it on the event and tag. (If someone gets on and hasn’t participated, no worries, all players start with 5 plays.) • A play is just a number. Put the numbers 1-75 on a sheet of paper and cut them out, you will use these to draw numbers for BINGO. •30 minutes before you go live tell your peeps to take their number of plays, and to choose that many numbers between the numbers 1-75. Write them down and that is their BINGO card. •Choose a handful of Scentsy items to feature between rounds. I like to talk about things that I use in the bathroom( fragrance flour, hand soap, room spray). My favorite items for me(Bath soak, bathroom cleaner, coconut lemongrass wax) The perfect car product (mini diffuser and odor out scentsy fresh!) •Set some fun music and go LIVE •Pull numbers out of your bag, basket, box, socks😂. I tell my people to, if they get one number, three numbers, or bingo! This helps spread out the commenting so they don’t go into Facebook jail♥️ I also encourage them to use their heart and like emoji’s for things they love or when they get another number! • if your game is going slow you can let gusts add 1 to 3 numbers per additional round! •So what do you do if you win BINGO!? If it is a mystery host party, you can give away all of the rewards! If it is a hostesses party, you can give away whatever makes the most sense for you. You can use the perpetual party reward for things like a six pack of sent circles, wax, and even soak for samples. My bingo bags contain: A handful of wax samples(see the training on April 16 for more information),  scents circle, and a bar of wax. If I am mailing them are use a small bubble mailer, and I ship from pirate ship for about three dollars for postage♥️ ————————————— Message guests the day of: Hey friend! I am SO excited you are joining us for BINGO! Below you’ll find the instructions on how to play and earn extra numbers for our games. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to ask! Can’t wait to hang out with you, contact free, tonight! 😉 1. Join us live tonight at 8pm for some silly fun & 3 rounds of Bingo! Just for showing up, you’ve automatically earned 5 plays. 2. For each play, write down any number between 1-75 on a piece of paper. For instance, if you’ve earned 10 plays by party time, you’ll write down 10 numbers of your choice. 3. You can earn additional plays by commenting on posts we make leading up to party time. (1 play per post) 4. When it’s party time, get your Bingo numbers ready! I’ll draw numbers and when you get 5 of yours marked off, you win a prize! Three prizes will be mailed out early next week, and if you choose to host your own BINGO night, you get a free mini warmer ❤️ 5. On the Go parties allow your busy customers to share Scentsy while engaging their day to day life. Take them to work, sporting practice, their best friends home, anywhere they are on the go.  These parties include testers, catalogs, order forms, current fliers and may also include samples, a warmer to display or bar as an example. It really is up to you!  Use a cute tote, box, or pouch- whatever makes it easy. You can find some great bags in the Scentsy Success store as well.
With an on the go  party, your host will borrow your bag/basket/box (whichever you choose) and keep it for no longer than 2 weeks. During that time, they will let friends, family, coworkers and other people they interact with each day flip through the catalog & smell the testers. They’ll place their orders with your hostess and when the 2 weeks is up, they’ll turn those orders in to you to reap the rewards A host for any party must reach a minimum of $200 in pre-tax sales to qualify for hostess rewards.
Since the customer is acting as the consultant with a basket party, coaching is even more important. Be sure that you are available for questions easily & are giving her tips & ideas to help make it successful.

It’s Friday, my FAVORITE day of the week!! I love to do a little #FreebieFriday and give out samples to my peeps!!! Samples are a fun way to get Scentsy in front of people. And I promise, getting fragrances in front of people is HOW you sell Scentsy! We have SO many products, it can be hard to keep up with, so my FAVORITE kind of sample is WAX! Here’s why: it’s easy to make and the other products come in that fragrance! Making samples is SIMPLE! But you can do all kinds of things to fill them up and spend extra money, so make sure you are putting your money where YOU want to! Your favorite customers who love to stock up on wax won't want to miss this! Since a 6 pack of wax is also 10% off this month, they can get their favorite bars for $3.75 verses the normal $5.00! What a great way to stock up for less! Use your old order forms, your workstation and things like facebook to connect with people who are wax lovers! And yes, the wax is GREAT! But our laundry line is AMAZING and it is also 10% off, a great month to try it out! If you have someone who has been eyeballing the diffusers, they are ALSO 10% off!!! Make sure you let your customers know! 2. Out with the Old- This is the last month to order off the Fall/ Winter catalog. As enticing as the 10% off is, people are even more excited to get their favorites that are being retired. An easy way to make this month successful is to share on facebook, through text and through e-mail your favorite things that are leaving! For instance, I love Jet Set Go laundry! I am SUPER bummed it is being retired so I told a few friends and facebook and I have a several extra orders to add to parties! Use your favorite products to your advantage! Share about them and your friends will want to grab them before they go away! 3. $150- In order to stay active you need to sell $150 in product every three months. I can promise you, it is not that hard if you just try a little each day.  In order to $150 in a 10% off month is best done with a focus!  Set a goal to sell 7 six packs of wax! 7 people, 7 orders will put you over your $150! Want free shipping? Up that number to 9 six packs! Then you can collect the host rewards and treat yourself to something extra! 4. Use you PWS- Advertise your PWS! Do you know that your PWS works for you? Share links to your website, tell them about the 10% off sale, direct them to your closeout section! You have a Personal Website to add value to your business, take advantage of that and SHARE! 5. PARTY- With 13 days left in the month get a basket party or two out there!  Basket parties are like little sales people that work for you for FREE! Gather up all the mini testers or just a few handfuls, throw in some catalogs, add some order forms, share a bar or two, and make it personal.  Ask a friend to take one to work for you. I can promise you this, you aren't out anything. By getting your product out there your business will grow on it's own, you just have to do the leg work. Make it a goal to get those testers out now and close before the end of the month! 6. Last Chance First Glance- Set yourself up with a last chance first glance party! Last chance to order from the old catalog and first glance at the new one! <3 Your goal is to do these at the very end of the month. It allows you to max out on the current catalog and set you up for a solid spring launch. Use facebook, home parties or basket parties to make this work for you! If you haven't ordered scents or catalogs, ask for some help! When you are prepared, you will be more successful. No matter what number you choose to focus on, we want you to stay! We are walking into an incredible new catalog, a summer incentive which will lead us into a GREAT fall! We want you to stay, so let us know how we can help!
Scentsy has a policy to help you stay active in your business and that is to place an order of $150 every third month. This policy is designed to help you engage your business and keep up with catalog changes, incentives  and customers that you take care of. As you do small things to work your business, your business will grow. Sometimes the 150 policy gets confusing, so we wanted to help clear the air. Here is an example of how you know when to make sure you have your 150 in. If you sold $150 PRV in MARCH and you don't sell anything in April or May, in  JUNE you have to place your next $150. It is not $50 in April, $50 in May and $50 in June. The 150 PRV must be collected and placed as an order in one month. As our party policy has changed, you may want to shoot for $200 in orders. This is allow you to still qualify for free shipping and host rewards for yourself. My encouragement to you is to place a party order every month. The more engaged you are the stronger your business will be. Each month you can check your progress in the performance tab of your workstation. If you are following up with your recruits, simply run a report and look down the will term row. This will let you know where your group stands monthly.
It is amazing how fast the seasons go by and we want to help you get back on track with your business. One thing we have learned is that if you do small actions consistently, it will help you build a stronger business that will last longer. We understand time is not always available so we want to share with you a few ideas to help get your business working for you. Often we hear "I am too busy–my friends won't buy–I can't book parties," and so on. So today we want to help you defeat those excuses and have a successful September. We see many people decide to work their business that last day or two of the month and that only hurts your motivation and excitement. We are challenging you to get active by September 15th. Why? Because if you find yourself successful, you meet a goal and you have direction, you are more likely to try it again and try harder. Scentsy does sell itself, but you have to get it out there. Our new catalog is FULL of new products that are going to easily help you hit your $150 active goal and $200 party goal.
  1. Make a list of all the people who have bought Scentsy from you before. Send them a new catalog through text, e-mail, Facebook messenger, and through the post.
  2. Make a list of 10 people to contact personally  to ask to book a party or come to an open house.
  3. Make a post on Facebook sharing the top new selling warmers. Calavera, Chasing Fireflies Nightlight, OSU helmet and the new diffusers.   4. Create a mystery host party. You collect orders from friends, put it into a party, and randomly select people to receive the credits and half prices.
  5. Subscribe to the Scent and Warmer of the month! There are 4 sports warmers that are coming out and the new scent is Butter Toffee Crunch. You also get paid off of the kit and you can sell each item retail price.
  6. Make 30 samples of fall fragrances and ask your friends who would like one. Pass them out with your business card while you are out and about and let the scent sell itself–you just do the footwork.
  7. Don't be afraid to ask. SO often one of our biggest downfalls is following up. When you ask, the worst thing that can happen is the word "no." So often, people are glad to place an order for wax or a new warmer, they just don't think about it in the busyness of their day.
  8. If you struggle with friends and family or getting out of your circle it is time to expand your network. Get plugged in with a small group, a moms group, a book club, etc. This takes time but will pay off greatly as you work your business monthly.
The business doesn't work if you don't. When you do small tasks like asking people to book parties, following up with customers, creating new ways for people to smell new scents and advertising your business often, people will naturally support you. IMG_6909 Scentsy kicked off this year's Scentsy Family Reunion in style as they revealed the new logo design and branding for the company. After a brief introduction from Heidi and Orville, we heard from Lyndsey Randolph, who just completed her first year at Scentsy as Chief Creative Officer. Orville explained that they had been looking for someone to help them re-brand Scentsy in a way that better communicated the continued story that they are writing for their family, their company, and the consultants whose lives they touch. ScentsyLogos-OLD Randolph began by reviewing the old logos, highlighting the Sister Frisky font that so boldly communicated who Scentsy was for the first decade as it grew from a small business in a basement to a shipping container on a sheep farm and eventually to a global Fortune 500 direct sales business that partners with tens of thousands of independent consultants around the world. She brought us to the round seal logo that is in use on much of our packaging today, and used that as a foundation for rebuilding a new logo that is fresh and new, while retaining the core of what customers and consultants recognize as fundamentally Scentsy. To build this new logo, she began with the purple round seal. Adding three stars to the top part of the seal and the phrase "Authentic Product" to the top and bottom edges of the seal, we began to see some familiarity to the former logo. She introduced a new element to the bottom half of the seal, with an "EST. 2004" marking that gives further honor to our beginning as a company. To finish off the new logo, the company name was added to a rectangular plate with a modern font based on Mister Eaves, which was a font that was often used by Scentsy in copy and title positions. Now at the forefront, this font delivers a clean look that fits perfectly in a modern home. Scentsy-NewLogo This new logo paves the way for product categories to be identified with category specific logos as well. Adding simple silhouette logos below the new Scentsy logo, we now have logos for seven newly defined product categories. IMG_4902 The holidays are just around the corner and we all know how stressful your shopping list can be! You can save for 6 months, or shop along the way, but either way if you follow this plan you will end up with over 1,000 to spend toward your holiday celebration! JUNE Here is what YOU need to do! 

In the month of JUNE, your personal goal is to have a minimum of $200 in sales. This small amount will put $50 on your pay card that you will leave on there until December 10th. In order to get $200 in sales, consider booking a basket party or a BBMB open house. If you don’t have a party out, hop on the phone and contact past customers. Collect your $200 in orders and the first step is done. Once you have worked toward your $200 then begin to book 2 parties for the month of July. JULY In July, your goal is to have $400 in sales. Though July is a month full of vacations and parties, it is a GREAT time to host a themed home party. By booking ahead it will help you to be prepared to hit your goal in July. Book one home party and one basket party. Then on the 10th of August, Scentsy will put $100 onto your pay card. You already have $150 toward your goal. Once you have your $400 in it is SUPER important to book for August. Typically known as 10% off month AND transition month. AUGUST In August your goal is to sell $600 worth of Scentsy/Velata. Book yourself some "last chance-first glance" Facebook parties, an end of the catalog open house, and 2 basket parties. Booking three parties will absolutely put you over $800, but don’t be afraid to send out basket parties as buffers, this will only add to your amazing savings. On the Tenth of October, Scentsy will deposit $200 onto your pay card. NOW you have $500 saved up. OCTOBER Once have met your goal number of parties, START booking October. This is now PARTY SEASON. Being proactive is only going to make your month amazing. Book 3 home parties and 3 basket parties! Keep a running list. Write down the names of those who like your Facebook posts and statuses, write down names of customers and past hosts, and write down names of friends you would like to ask. The only way to make this business work is to work! Once you are booked completely for October, begin to book November. Then November 10th will come around and will add $250 to your card totaling $750. NOVEMBER November is here and party season is at its peak!!! Booking parties is easy once you have built momentum. Your goal for this month is to book 2 home parties, 4 basket parties, and to host one Christmas open house! Your sale goal is $1,200 which will give you $300 added to your pay card, totaling your card to a minimum of $1,050. If you have a Facebook page for your business, you can host it there, or you can have your online party host create the event. Send out invitations to the event via Facebook and any other way you think you can get people to attend. On the day of the event, here's what you do:

In 2012, Kelly & I had the privilege of hosting a Christmas Dinner with our directors, taking time to celebrate the successes of our individual businesses and to laugh together as we enjoyed a break from the busy selling season that was just wrapping up. I had ordered some stuffed mushrooms off the appetizer menu, and Kelly loves mushrooms. When she asked for them, I was a little puzzled, though, because the menu said they contained crab meat, and Kelly hates anything with seafood in it. I assumed she has read through the menu enough to have known that, so I went ahead and handed her one.
“Wasn’t that stuffed mushroom good?” I asked. “It was awesome.” “Even though it had crab meat in it?” Oops. I was in trouble.
I shouldn’t have assumed that she knew everything I knew about the stuffed mushrooms, and as Scentsy Consultants, we can’t assume that our hosts know everything they need to know to have a killer party. Making sure that they are prepared can help them to maximize on their sales, earn some amazing host rewards, and be itching to host another party as soon as they can. Here are three benefits to having a well-prepared host:
  1. A prepared host will feel more enthusiastic about the party experience.
  2. We all know that positivity and enthusiasm are important to selling great products. Nobody is going to be interested in your product if you are indifferent or negative about it. You are selling your products because you believe in them, and you need hosts who are equally enthusiastic. If your hosts are excited for their party, they will have more customers, more sales, and more host rewards.
  3. Preparing your host well will make you feel more confident about the party as the consultant.
  4. People feel more confident walking into familiar situations. If all the questions that your host might have are answered before the party, you and the host are able to fully engage in the experience of the party. You can focus on selling the product, booking more parties, and recruiting more consultants.
  5. Doing a good job preparing the host will give you credibility as a sponsor and will increase the chances of recruiting your host.
  6. What did you look for in your sponsor when you joined? Maybe you looked for someone who knew a great deal about the products. Maybe it was because they made you feel valued as a person. Whatever the reasons were that drew you into joining their downline, I’m sure they did a good job communicating with you. Let’s be sure to do everything we can to build credibility with those we come into contact with. If you want your Scentsy Family Business to make a difference in the world, you have to share the opportunity with more than your own household. Recruit as many people you can and learn how to lead them with excellence. As your team grows, your influence will increase, and you will begin to understand how you are changing the lives of those around you for the better.

Social Media is a great way to promote your business, but we all know the delicate balance required when using social media to avoid blasting people with business deals and sales propositions. We all just want to do our best at making the world a better place by giving people access to quality products that people can get excited about. It's also difficult to maintain presence on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google+, and whatever other social media networks you hope to leverage for a more effective business. BufferApp is my absolute favorite tool for managing social media posts. Here are some of the main features:
  • Spend a few minutes filling up your buffer with updates and have them posted at various times throughout the day.
  • Schedule specific updates for specific times.
  • Send updates to Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Google+
  • Receive analytic data to find out how many people clicked on your links.
  • Learn what kind of language & posting strategies are most effective.
Here's a blog post that lists some more of their features if you are interested. Buffer uses a referral link system to help promote their services. They've given us a referral link that will give you an extra space in your buffer for free. SIGN UP FOR BUFFER
Are you getting ready to place a custom gifts order with Scentsy and don't have the correct artwork to submit? This screencast will walk you through step-by-step how to take almost any artwork file and convert it to an .ai file that is suitable to submission. Here are the steps you will need to complete: 1. Download & Install Adobe Creative Cloud. 2. Download & Install Adobe Illustrator CC (Free 30-Day Trial). 3. Use Image Trace in Illustrator to Convert the artwork that was provided to you into an .ai file.   Please make sure you have requested the highest quality file that the company has access to. It is common for designers to send businesses a .pdf file that may be fairly simple to convert. This video will show you how to deal with those types of files or how to process a flat image (which could also be a .pdf file) and use Illustrator to convert that into a vector-based .ai file. This duration of this screencast is 16:30 and was created on Mac OS X 10.7.5. Other operating systems such as windows may require a slightly different process. Also, we apologize for issues in the audio. Hopefully the content will still be helpful. If you still are unable to produce a proper .ai file after following the steps in this video and are unable to obtain other copies of the artwork, you may need to hire a graphic designer in your area to help you.
What is a To-Go party
Have you ever wanted to book parties but don't have all the time in the world to book four parties a month? An awesome option for parties is to host a To-Go party! A To-Go party is a mini version of a home party except you give the supplies to the host and they take it to work with them, collect the orders and payment, and turn it into you! A whole lot less work and you can do as many as you'd like in a month! Here is how it works: What it takes: Catalogs Order Forms Set of Mini Testers Optional: 1 warmer and bar (if they can warm it, they will want it) 1 buddy 1 item from the layers line Warmer of the Month Flyers Holiday flyers if applicable How to Book a To-Go Party: Make a list of friends who you know who leave the house for work (it is more helpful for a successful basket party) Ask each person to host a To-Go party for a two week time period (always try to close on payday) Send the host  the information on how to host a party (found under Basket Party Letter)
Set a goal with them to keep them excited and working their party Once booked: Set up the party on your website (click on Scentsy Order, fill out info, and click on the little circle that says show on PWS. Then they can share your website and people can order from their party) Have them set up a facebook event and communicate how they can order through the hostesses party Follow up with the host periodically to make sure she is able to have a successful party!

Ways to Grow from having a team to Leading a team These are all ideas you can choose from, please don’t try to do them all. Choose a few and implement them, over time you will find a routine that works for you.
  • Communication Start a Facebook group that you communicate on regularly *If you don’t want to start your own just yet, encourage your team to use the group page. There is so much information and inspiration found there. Start a monthly newsletter with shout outs *This doesn’t have to be anything fancy, it can even just be an e-mail with shoutouts to those on your team who did well the month before, important information,  and a short note from you. Set goals with your frontline and have them do the same with their frontline * Goals are really important and they will help your team work in a specific direction. Sit down and send out an email at the end of each month to your frontline helping them to have a plan and a goal. You need to make sure you have one too! Whether it is a sales minimum, recruiting, training, make sure you have a goal in mind. Communicate important things from the news tab *Make sure you are reading the news tab (especially back orders) and communicating it with your team during the busy season. *Remember Facebook is a great tool, but it is only an extra bonus. Never rely on Facebook to book, build, or grow your business. Train your team to think the same way
Affirmation/ Recognition Birthday Cards/ Scentiversary Cards *Run a report each month and send a personal  birthday or scentiversary card to each frontline Run a performance report, click on add addition filter options and then select your dates to line up with the month you are looking to  find sentiversaries for. Click on Birthdays and line them up Jan to Jan and so on, to find out what birthdays are within that month. Do facebook shoutouts It is so wonderful to receive recognition but even more so public recognition. Set yourself up with a Monday shout outs, Or a tag a teaamie Tuesday! Recognize personal promotions *Whether you send a post card, a card, a little certificate, a charm, etc, letting them know you recognize their promotion is a great way to help them to want to promote again! Information Reading the News Tab Daily *You will be asked questions, it is good to know the answers. It changes often so make sure you are learning as well. Checking Team Numbers * Run a performance report, then go through your level ones and see if they have recruited, added a party, are going to cancel, and so on. This is a great idea for a Monday. It will help you to keep up to date and get people prepped for the week. Using the TEAM tab *The team tab allows you to look at your team in comparison to last year and so on. It is a great to use in the beginning of the month to see where you want to shoot for in the end of the month. Always trying to outgrow your GWV yearly Reading blogs/books/ listening to pod casts on leadership * This may sound dumb, but it is where I get all my inspiration and ideas. Mary Christensen has great books on growing a business. Bob Burg has great gooks on making your business all about giving Eat that Frog is an awesome book on time management Michael Hyatt has the best pod casts that motivate, inspire, and help me to lead. You can check him out  at www.michaelhyatt.com Ways to engage your team Booking Blitz * A booking blitz is a dedicated hour you spend with your team competing to book parties. My rules are No group messaging, but facebook, text, email, phone call, messaging, are all good. Give them points for each person they contact and points for each party they book. Make sure you get inform them early that they will want to participate in the challenge later that night.  Give a small prize to the winner, but even better is all of the booked parties your team will have for the following month. This has unbelievable results, you just have to organize it. Team Meetings * Team meetings don’t have to be extravagant, just have a get together with the locals. Spend time recognizing their accomplishments, giving small tips, and networking as a team. If you are all spread out, then follow the next step. Training Call/ Group chat There are a million free ways to video chat, phone chat, group chat. In the beginning of my journey this was SO important for me and those who didn’t live close.  Don’t be intimidated by this, it will help your team feel so involved! One on one coffee dates One of my favorite things to do is to get to know my frontline and teams lives, hopes, goals, and dreams. A great way to connect is to meet once in a while for coffee or a dinner date.

I am a mom of 2 wonderful young men, Blake who is currently serving our country with Ohio Army National Guard in Afgainistan and Luke who in a few short weeks will be in 7th grade.  I am a wife to an amazing man, John.  We have been married for 6 ½ years and have been through alot.  He was diagnosed with skin cancer 3 years ago.  Several surgeries and a lot of time unable to work but we got through it.  Also I am a full time 911 dispatcher with my local county sheriff’s office.  And all of that has brought me to the one thing I am proud to say I am, an Independent Scentsy Consultant with Team 10E. My journey began Sept 20, 2012 the day I signed.  A few days before that my husband & I were walking around a street fair and came across a Scentsy booth.  We picked up some information and a scent sample.  We had been buying Scentsy for a few years prior to this event so we both loved the product.  We were die hard candle users prior to finding Scentsy.  Anyway my husband and I began talking about what it would be like if I joined.  At that time we just figured it may help out with a tank of gas or buy a few extra groceries and would provide more of the product we love to use.  We live paycheck to paycheck as most people do.  So I met with a consultant in my area and asked a few questions.  We decided it would be ok for me to sign and spend the $99 on the kit.  Well as soon as I signed I promoted my website and a former boss who now lives out of state submitted an order.  I hosted my launch party as a basket party because I was working night shift out of town and that was just easier for me.  A former co worker took a basket party and I earned my start up fee back with in my first full month as a consultant.  When I signed my husband was between jobs and he became my shipping & receiving supervisor!  He has been wonderful with helping me check in orders, package orders & promote my business.  I was able to share enough through November that I did not have to take “bill” money to pay for Christmas.  I began sharing more with others and booked a few more parties.  By Feb of 2013 I recruited two ladies and my team grew to 3.  I also attended Spring Sprint with an Amazing group of people and met our fearless leader Kelly Tenney! My inspiration grew and my motivation was through the roof.  In April 2013 I was at a home party and while entering all the orders for the host who was concerned she wouldn’t have enough to make it worth “my time” we discovered she had reached over $1000 in sales.  Wow!!!  That month my team did amazing and I had my first $2000 month and promoted to Lead.  8 months in and I was promoted I was thrilled with myself and my team.  April sales also allowed me for the first time to give my 12 year old son the best birthday party he said he has ever had.  Now on to summer months I really felt down with my business and I knew these were slow months but I stuck with it.  Silently I was ready to throw in the towel if I didn’t get a few bookings for transition month I was probably just going to give up.  I was down that was for sure.  But low and behold one day while waiting on a customer to pick up an order I decided to walk across the street to talk to my neighbor about Scentsy.  She was thrilled with the information I gave her and she had never used Scentsy before so we came back to my house and I loaned her a couple warmers, scent bars & hand soap.  She booked a party and said she wanted to join.  She has been sharing with everyone and her party should be amazing.  Then that same week one of my recruits sent me a text that she had someone interested in joining and would like to know how to recruit her.  I scheduled a meeting with her & her potential recruit.  I had also sent a facebook message to a friend of my mom’s and she was interested in signing.  She also called and we have launch party scheduled.  Another good customer of mine is struggling financially and when she picked up her order she said she wants to sign so she is working on coming up with the start up fee. This past week has been an amazing blessing for me and has shown me that it is not time to throw in the towel and that I need to regroup and refocus on what it is that I want to accomplish. So here it is, I want to grow my business and have a team that can share this wonderful product & company with everyone, I want to live a little better with my family and provide more stability financially and I want to be the best that I can be with this amazing team.  I am now UP and growing and LOVING the road that has been put in front of me with the fork behind me.  I have chosen the path that will allow me to grow in so many different ways that NOTHING will be stopping me anytime soon!  We do still struggle but we are working on it and without the positivity I get from this team and all those involved I would not be where I am today.  Thank you team 10E and Scentsy you truly have blessed me & my family!  And we are looking forward to continuing our journey!

These trips are an amazing thing to be a part of, but the reward is much greater when we are there as a team!
beth My Scentsy journey began September 7, 2012 after one of the biggest transition periods in my short 30 years. I resigned from my full-time teaching position in May of 2012 and after finishing the school year, suddenly found myself a stay-at-home-mom to my two children who are now ages “almost 8” and 19 months. I never wanted to be a stay-at-home-mom; I was certain I was made to work! Funny how things change… After my daughter, Brooklyn, was born I found myself wanting to take back all the times I said I could never stay home because at that time the ONLY thing I wanted to do was just that! I went to my husband after Brooklyn’s 4-month checkup in April 2012 and told him I didn’t want to go back to work the following year. I’ll never forget what he said to me at that moment. He said, “Beth, I should have been the one telling you not to go back when I saw how unhappy you were.” So, that was that. After lots and lots of tears, I decided to quit my job. Summer came and went and I was used to having that time off so I didn’t really feel the change until all my friends were back in the classroom in August and I was home. Alone. Lonely. I needed something to do! I had attended a Scentsy party several months before and until that point, had never heard of the product. Then I hosted my own Scentsy party for my friend, now sponsor, Megan Jeffers. That party reached over $1000 in sales! I reached out to Megan a few weeks later and discussed joining with her. Really, I just needed a hobby and something to get me involved with other adults. Scentsy seemed like a good opportunity and I was loving the rewards I earned from my own party! I discussed this idea with my husband who was NOT supportive at all! He was afraid I was just trying to fill the gaps and was going to end up making myself too busy. That was a legit concern, but he finally agreed to let me give it a try. I am happy to say that today, he loves Scentsy just as much as I do! What started for me as a hobby quickly turned in to a business. I couldn’t believe how things took off! I found myself with a team of 9. My recruits were recruiting and the ball started rolling. I have consistently sold at least $500 in PRV every month since joining. I attended Spring Sprint, interviewed with Joal Curtis about my business, earned the incentive trip, reached Scentsational Start Level 2, promoted to Star Consultant and most recently, attended Reunion. I am full of answers to my “why” but my biggest motivator is that now I see the possibilities and potential in my Scentsy business. My husband works as a Tow Boat Captain for a company based out of Houston, TX. I live in Ohio with our children and he works on the boat for 20 days straight and then comes home for 10 days. Our schedule cycles like that throughout the entire year. We get a holiday every 3 years. We rarely have anniversaries or birthdays together. He didn’t get to see our son score his first touchdown or hear our daughter say her first words. We miss him terribly and I can’t help but wonder about all the “what-ifs” in the future. After Reunion, I had a conversation with Kelly Tenney about how life changing it would be if I could keep the momentum going in my business and eventually be able to sustain our family with him home. My kids could have their dad home and I would know what it was like to actually live with my husband! I am coming up on my one year Scentiversary and can honestly say that I am more motivated and determined now to make this work than ever! One of the speakers at Reunion said something along the lines of “Every person in this room has a story that would break your heart.” I truly believe that. Scentsy has been such an incredible blessing in my life. It has given me something positive to focus my time and energy on. I have made and strengthened friendship with my recruits and my customers. It fills me with so much hope for the future that I almost forget about the past. I truly believe that each and every person joining this business has an even playing field for success. Success to me might be something totally different than success to you, and that’s OK! I just make sure I am following “The Golden Rule” with my customer service, giving back to worthy causes every chance I get, and staying consistent. A few things that have worked for me is managing a separate Facebook page for my customers, creating a VIP mailing list each month, and donating 10% of my commission every month to a charity such as The MS Society, local families struggling with death or illness, Nana’s Heroes, and many more. Being able to help others is what makes me feel the most successful. This season I am shifting my focus from selling to recruiting. If Scentsy can create so much happiness in my life and the life of my family, I want to make sure I am inviting every person to experience that same joy. I encourage each one of you to really listen to the other consultants in our group and learn from their experiences…both good and bad. The best thing about Scentsy is that it will be exactly what you make it. Figuring out your “why” and your “yay” moments will give you direction, just as it did for me.
969018_10151760485867112_2055362804_n In September 2010 I was a mom of 3 in a marriage that had been struggling for years with the same things over and over, while i was working a full time job from 10-7, 5 days a week. I was emotionally drained and really had no clue if I was ever going to be happy. I just kept trying to believe that God had bigger plans not really knowing what those were. I decided to join Scentsy under a good friend in October when my husband got a raise we had decided it was best to have me back home. Financially we were going to struggle if I worked (because of childcare) and if I didn't. if i didn't. When i started Scentsy I told myself I was not a sales person and I didn't have any desire to build a team because I wasn't sure it was even going to work for me. I had my first team members join my team in February and April of 2011. I started doing a local event to help me get out of my comfort zone it did help me some and i found myself getting a little more confident as time went on and my team started to grow all on it's own. Fast forward to October 2011 and I had made director I really had no clue what I was doing but I was excited. I couldn't believe i had made it and really didn't think I was worthy of being a director because my sales and track record were pretty mediocre. I watched people all around me earn these amazing trips and i was really close but i never truly looked at it without any excuses and said i am going to earn it ,So guess what i never have. Although my confidence was improving my husband was still not too convinced he started to come around as time went by. He would tell me I was wasting my time on Scentsy and that began to wear on my. I started to believe what everyone had been telling me, what I had been telling me, I was not good at sales,etc etc. January 2013 I was told I had some serious medical conditions (cancer) so i found myself with my 4th child (2 months old) and depressed telling myself there was no way I could ever continue with Scentsy. Then God stepped in, I went to our Spring Sprint in February and i got to meet Heidi and Orville (the owners of Scentsy) I told them about how I was feeling and I had never felt so vulnerable in my life. They were so compassionate and loving. That day I knew there was no way I could ever walk away from something so good and pure in my life. It, at one time in my life, brought value to me and others and I had lost that light. But it was back after that day ! I learned so much that made me think and i decided to take a hard look at my business and I decided it was time to make changes! I was going to have great customer service, I was going to be a great leader, and I was going to go big! In April I had my largest month in sales ever and started booking parties and fundraisers left and right. I finally went to my first reunion (convention) this July and it totally took me to a whole new level! It reassured me of how I will make my goals and I will follow through! My husband is actually discussing joining me in partnership with Scentsy! We have both made the decision to work hard to earn our trip to the Bahama's and I have a 2 year plan to be a SuperStar Director. You do not have to be great at sales , or know a ton of people when you start but what you must have is the ability to make your own story and show the world you can do it !
ann Before joining Scentsy, I dealt with low self-esteem, high anxiety, and had panic attacks almost daily. It had gotten so bad that I needed a service dog, Spaz, to help me get out of my house, go into stores, enjoy dinner, even help me in church. She calmed me and gave me something to focus on... Spaz. When I joined Scentsy, I never thought I would go anywhere with it. At my launch party, I sat on the floor so if I would pass out I was closer to the ground. Fast forward to today and most people cannot believe I was ever that person. The one standing proudly, talking about my business, having fun, and making other people happy. God has blessed me with this unbelievable opportunity that has ultimately changed my life. I now offer this same blessing to others who are looking to change, whether it be their family situation, their finances, their health, or just something to do. I want to give people this same amazing feeling of confidence, happiness, and joy in their lives. As for Spaz, she’s still loves being by my side, but now just as a loving member of our family and not as a service dog

Make a list of all your past hostesses. Think back through your home parties, basket parties, and fundraisers.  Think about any customers you had when you were selling Scentsy, Velata, or Grace Adele. 2. Let them all know you are putting on a special for this month.  If they want in on the special, all they need to do is contact six of their friends who were invited to their party or ordered from their fundraiser and ask if they would be interested in ordering one six-pack of bars.  If they can get six orders, you will give them 15 dollars in free product, free shipping, and a half-priced item!  If they sell more, they will earn more rewards. 3. Be sure to mention the other great things that are available this month. Bring Back My Bar, the Warmer of the Month, and the Scent of the Month are all great things to get excited about.  Also, let them know about the monthly host incentives that they can take advantage of. Don’t sell Scentsy Fragrance? Make your special work with your brand.  Just take any 25 dollar item and get six people.  If you are selling Grace Adele, let them know about July being 10% off month and about the discontinued section that is available.  It’s also a transition month, so they can receive extras for joining in July.  Selling Velata? Let them know about the great Two-fer deal! This is an easy way to create extra sales and create a follow up with your customers. Look for reasons to share your business with them, and keep them engaged in the products you offer.
